PostHeaderIcon what size diesel generator is needed to power a 30hp 230/460volts motor?

we have a compressor that is connected to a 3-phase 30hp 230/460volt motor, we want to power it with a diesel generator. Which will be placed approx. 300ft away

The generator will need to produce approximately 23Kw and with a 25% surge factor, you will need approximately a 30Kw generator.
A typical commercial generator with this output has around 100 HP.

we are using 1000kva generator, for our plant, it is driven by diesel engine which consumes 250 gallons minimum daily….pls answer me is there any option for reducing diesel consumption, ans also we have 200 kva generator for small accomodation purpose.

can u use this 200kva generator instead of 1000 kva bu placing stepup transformer and then stepdown to normal voltage,,,is there any possibility like that..pls answer me…

OR is there any thing which drives 1000kva generator without diesel consumption…….

PostHeaderIcon I have a Diesel fuel Generator 600KVA, I uesd it 10hrs a day. one litter of Diesel fuel is US $0.8?

So for one litter of diesel fuel, how many KWh of electricity can poduced? I used for 2512pcs 41W of fluorescent Tube.

It varies a lot depending on the generator’s efficiency. Usually 3 to 6 kilowatt hours per liter.
