PostHeaderIcon How is possible for diesel generator to have a volt range 110 to 220 and what mechanism makes this possible?

I want to purchase a second hand single phase diesel generator for resell, this genset works 110/220 volts. As there is difference between these voltage, I want to know how this is possible and what mechanism makes it possible and how I can use of 110 volts same time as 220 volts

You need more information on the generator to have a definitive answer.

But my guess would be that the generator winding is rated 220v and has a center tap at 110v.

It supplies either 110 OR 220 volts, not voltages between the two.

You switch select one of the two voltages.
