New WhisperPower 1-cylinder diesel engine designed for hybrid generator on trial
WhisperPower is an international leader in the development, production and maintenance of modern diesel generators. Our generators are used worldwide in places that are (temporarily) without normal electrical power, onboard yachts, commercial vessels, many type of vehicles and in remote locations.
On this movie you see the first testrun of our new hybrid generator. The 1-cylinder diesel oil-cooled diesel engine runs at a variable speed depending of the requirement at that moment. A high performance Permanent Magnet (PM) alternator brings the electric power with a very high efficiency (94%) being very compact at the same moment.
Depending on the customer needs this variable speed generator can be extended with an inverter and a battery pack. The most extended version will be a hybrid version, which combines the engine and the PM with an inverter, a lithium battery pack and a computerized digital control system, just in one single box. This all-in-one solution will be available in a 5kW, 10kW and 15kW power versions.
