How to safely connect a power backup generator to your home
The safest way to connect a generator to your home involves a transfer switch with an interlock mechanism to prevent backfeeding into your main panel. Backfeeding could potentially cause a line worker series injury or even death. So don’t do it! When it comes to wiring up a generator don’t cut corners….do it the right way by hiring a professional to wire up a transfer switch that’s compatible with your generator.
